DeenTask vs Bark
A lead-generation service where professionals pay per introduction.
On DeenTask you keep
£200
of a £200 job, paid by transfer or cash. We take nothing either way.
On Bark you keep
£200, minus what the leads cost you
You pay for each lead you respond to, whether or not you win it.
Bark is the closest model to DeenTask in one respect: it doesn't take a commission, and you deal with the client directly. The difference is where the money changes hands. On Bark you pay for the introduction — credits spent per lead, win or lose — so a run of leads that don't convert costs you real money.
On DeenTask, applying is free. There is no per-lead charge and no credit balance, so a job you don't win costs you nothing but the time it took to write the application.

DeenTask takes nothing in every case. Paid by bank transfer or cash you keep the lot; by card your own processor takes roughly 1.5% + 20p. On the other platforms that processing sits on top of the commission, along with any withdrawal or currency fees.
Headline rates only — these platforms tier and change their pricing, so confirm on Bark's own pricing page before deciding anything on the strength of this table. More on taking payment yourself.
They do different jobs.
Here is where each one genuinely wins — including the cases where we lose.
Use Bark if…
- You want a steady flow of leads across many categories, now, and you can afford to buy them.
- Your conversion rate is high enough that paying per introduction still works out.
- You serve general consumer demand rather than community organisations.
Use DeenTask if…
- You don't want to pay for leads that go nowhere.
- You want the client to come to you off the back of a portfolio, rather than racing three others to reply first.
- The work you want is community work, and you'd rather be found by the people who need it.
Nothing here is exclusive — plenty of people keep a Bark account and use DeenTask as the portfolio they send people to.
