How DeenTask works
A noticeboard and a portfolio builder for the community. You post what you need, or you show what you can do. We don't sit in the middle of the money.
If you need work done
- Post what you needPick a category, describe the job, set a budget or say you're open to offers. Free, and it takes about two minutes.
- Applications come to youPeople who do that work apply with a message, a price and a link to their portfolio. Everything lands in your dashboard and your inbox.
- Choose and get goingRead their work, check their reviews, reply to the one you want. Mark the job filled when you're sorted.
If you do the work
- Build your portfolioYour name, a line about what you do, your work as images, videos or links, your handles, and your prices. We build the page.
- Share your linkdeentask.com/yourname is yours. Put it in your Instagram bio, in emails, wherever — it's a proper portfolio, not a PDF.
- Apply and get enquiriesApply to jobs with one form, and take enquiries straight from your page. Collect reviews as you go.
Questions
Does DeenTask take a cut?
No. Posting a job is free, building a portfolio is free, and we take no commission on the work. You agree the price directly with the other person and pay them however suits you both.
How do payments work?
They don't go through us. DeenTask introduces you and then gets out of the way — bank transfer, invoice, cash, whatever you agree. Because of that, use the usual care: agree the scope and price in writing before work starts, and consider a deposit for larger jobs.
Who can post a job?
Anyone. Masjids, institutes, schools, charities, businesses and individuals all post here — a one-off poster, two weeks of cover teaching, or a permanent role.
What is the portfolio page?
It's your own page at deentask.com/yourname. You answer a few questions — your name, your work, your handles, what you charge — and we lay it out. Share the link anywhere; it works as a portfolio whether or not anyone uses the rest of DeenTask.
How do reviews work?
Anyone signed in can leave one review on a profile, with a rating out of five. Reviews are public and show the reviewer's name, so keep them fair and factual. You can update your own review later, and you can't review yourself.
Can I hide my profile?
Yes. Untick 'Publish my portfolio' and it becomes a draft only you can see. You can also mark yourself unavailable while staying listed.
What kinds of work are on here?
Right now: teachers & cover, graphic design, websites & apps, video & film, photography, social media, audio & recitation, writing & translation, events & catering, admin & operations. If what you need doesn't fit neatly, post it under the closest category and describe it clearly.
